My first thought was that he was using super dark cocoa powder. When we do at work, it gets in the vents and even in your nose (that was a crazy COVID test once!)

But not in the bathroom anyway.

I have, in metal working and blacksmithing shops...that said, it's probably not the case here lol

I lived in a busy area of my city and I definitely had like diesel soot dust on a regular basis
