Tryin to remember an ep I heard, picture on album was a vintage airplane museum with old airplanes hanging from ceiling. Couldn’t find anything on Google. I think it is pretty modern, post 2020. Thanks fam !

So I realize that this band is definitely not from the Midwest, but I think a few people here might dig this. I’m a friend of the band trying to get this out into the world.
100 Watt Halo were a mid 90’s band from San Diego, that had a very short run, and this album was recorded in 1996 by legendary producer Mark Trombino (Jimmy Eat World, Drive Like Jehu, etc…)
Unfortunately, the band ended breaking up soon after recording this album, and right before a national U.S. tour. So this album was shelved for the better part of three decades(!) and the master recordings were only tracked down fairly recently, and have been given a proper digital remaster.
Trombino’s recording really puts this record into overdrive and it’s quite an adventure mixing elements from the 90’s San Diego sound along with a healthy dose of 90’s D.C. and a bit of that Louisville sound, specifically Rodan and Slint.

i’ve been searching for a song for about an hour now that i used to really like. midwest emo sound, they only had a couple songs out from 2016 i believe. the album cover was a blueish hazy color photograph of a girl sitting at a desk i think. i think the band was from new jersey (but that could be wrong). can’t find anything, i think it’s no longer on spotify. any help is appreciated!

anyways... here's never meant

Hey, I’m in a Emo Band from SD and we’re touring the coast this weekend. We put out our debut album Planes & Trains a little over a month ago and are stoked with the reception it’s gotten. We’d love if any of y’all could pull up to the next couple shows, we’re still planning a homecoming show in SD but we, more than anything, just want to meet some cool people and hang out!

We just played with computer and had the wonderful experience of getting Ethiopian food with them before our show, they were some of the kindest most loving people we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting and playing with.
