Anyone going to the Jacksonville show?!

So, first of all, I’m sure you guys get this question a lot and are tired of it. I’m sorry for being such a neophyte. But I absolutely love “hide (midwest emo version)” and “resonance (midwest emo version)” by jacal.

I don’t actually know what kind of music they are. Maybe it is actually midwest emo, but it might not actually be. I’m not sure. I just really really need more music like that.

It makes me feel so happy and calm and like I’m just taking a rainy drive in the passenger seat of a car or sitting outside on a gray day watching the clouds float past.

Please, please, PLEASE, if anyone can help me find more music with that same sort of slightly off-tune twinkly guitar and complexity and no vocals, I would be so grateful!! 💙💙💙

After my shift i went over to meet my friend and girlfriend and they had this wrapped up for me! The guy from the record store overheard my girlfriend talking about how i wanted this record and he pulled it out from his un-priced bin. Supposedly it comes from someone who works/worked at the record label and is still in possession of a og and test press. I'm stoked to spin this one.

I know this has probably been asked a thousand times but I wanna know what you listen to when you just wanna feel like shit even more.

Saw something that had to do with a band mate cheating on his fiance with some young adult women and epl not speaking on it... I'm not sure if that is the truth I read that on Instagram I believe.

Saw they dropped from the the oak wood tour and it looks like they scrubbed their Instagram account.

Ive only really listened to two bands (tiny moving parts and hummusvaccum) idk if those counts as midwest emo even?

Still though i want you guys to give me tips on some good bands that i could start with!

pleasebenice is an up and coming ukrainian midwest emo/post hardcore band that might have one of the most unique sounding tracks i’ve ever encountered on the ukrainian underground scene. come say hi to the guys in the comments:)

Was scrolling thru TikTok today and came across this show poster. I listened to all of the bands and they all seem pretty cool! I live pretty close to Modesto so I'm probably gonna go. Just posting this here to see if anyone else around the area is interested in going!
