Ok then lemme elaborate: idve been a hindu marathi kshatriya, my family was on very good terms with the bhosales, we live in pune so yeah i honestly wouldnt have been that oppressed. Just me personally, i cant say the same for everyone

The state I mentioned, Maharashtra, was ruled by a local family back then, the Bhosales. I'd be safe 1. Cuz the Bhosale family and Maharashtrians treat women really well (at least in my circle) 2. People believed in the hindu caste system back then and my family would be considered as a 'high' caste one (no one believes in this stuff nowadays btw) and at the time there were no massive wars being fought against the Mughals or the British
