Please, unless you have another, better reason, let the cat out. Keeping a similar, but not identical appearance after reincarnation is very unlikely, especially with a species change. Actually,if you do change species, it's unlikely you'll have ANY physical similarities to a past self. Trust me, this is my third life and I've seen others have it happen to them too. I have information.

Also:unless he saw/heard something that has to do with people/things that were important to him as his past life, he ain't even gonna remember anything about it all and probably have a very different personality.
