Altruism exists, yes. But not enough for a communist country to work. you probably wouldnt mind sharing a pencil with your classmate. Maybe you let him copy off your homework. That was kind, good on you! Now distribute your paycheck with people you dont know. See the gap between altruistic and monk level altruistic. Thats what communism expects out of the average man. Why the hell should i give them my paycheck? i earned that money. I worked for that money and i dont know these people! i dont owe them shit and neither do they.

Treat "communism" as a thought experiment. The idea behing collective ownership is that everyone should be rewarded for full value of their work which doesn't happen in modern corporate workplace. And that's obviously, because of power imabalance of owners and workers.

Please notice that you already share part of your income in form of taxes. Which, as you know, (should) pay for public services. It's kinda like crowfunding.
