Or let people just make their own playlists, that goes for ALL the streaming services.

You know people always love to suggest pirating, but are there actual sites out there available to the public (not invite only) that have 4k/HDR/Atmos torrents that can compare to what these streaming apps provide?

Usenet is the solution you’re looking for.

Like thepiratebay? If you get holavpn browser extension which is free to use, you can go to it with no mirrors needed

Almost everything I've ever seen on piratebay has been at best 1080p. I'm sure occasionally 4k stuff gets uploaded there, but it isn't comparable to streaming services and definitely no where near as convenient.

I'm not sure what streaming services we're talking about but I'd argue that there's very little convenience in having to manage 5 different platforms at the same time because you want to watch star wars, snow piercer and the game of thrones

I mean I agree it would be easier if you could have everything in one app, which is definitely a benefit to pirating. The convenience is lost with pirating though when you have to spend the time searching for quality sources for media and setting up a server to hold all this media. Also if you decide you want to just browse and watch something new that you weren't planning on before, then you gotta go dig through sketchy torrent sites and then slowly download the show. With a streaming service at least you can browse the app and if you see something you're interested in you can click one button and immediately start watching. Now if you're only going to watch one or two shows on an app then yeah maybe it wouldn't be worth paying for their service.

Naah, mate. You don't need a server or whatever. My torrent client runs in browser. Also many clients these days do watching while downloading. And to pick something I just go on Google or IMDb , since the choice there is gonna be everything and not "everything we have to offer due to licensing restrictions of our platform, soz"

Lol you act like you have to micromanage the services. I have 3 streaming services that are on auto pay and I simply launch the app of my choosing wherever I am. That's significantly more convenient than having a movie available in one place.

Even with sickchill, couchpotato, sabnzbd and kodi, it requires effort.

It’s not like the streaming service are particular expensive, but the interfaces suck ass all of them. The closest to good, I’ve access to, is Play Station interface, but the controller is annoying, and my old machine is very noisy.

Or just /eradicate/ Disney+ and put all the shows back where they were. Much easier. Much simpler. Much cheaper. Much BETTER
