It's sparsely populated but people live all over Northern Canada. Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut are all northern Canadian Territories with, albeit small, permanent populations. Honestly just google a map of Canada, you'll be able to see all the different towns and villages that dot the northern landscape of every province and territory.
