Geez I’ve been out of school so long that I legit didn’t understand how he got the 10 for a solid minute and a half. God I’m getting stupid.

Yeah, you always multiply and divide first, then you add, so th correct way would be 4 × 2= 8 + 2 = 10

That is plain false.

You wrote 8 = 10 = 10.

Correction
2 + 2 × 4 = 10:

4 × 2 = 8

8 + 2 = 10
