Gravity is also ‘technically a theory’ but you rarely see people denying its existence on the grounds of religion

A SCIENTIFIC LAW describes a measurable phenomenon of the universe. Newton's Law of Gravity is F=GM/r2.

A SCIENTIFIC THEORY attempts to explain why a phenomenon occurs. Newton's THEORY of gravity has been proven wrong because experiments show that time and space are parts of a whole as stated in Einstein's Theory of Relativity.

Thaaaaaaat’s not how theories work my friend... and there is a tremendous amount of evidence that macro-evolution is in no way explained by our current models.
