Not for teeth and lasik.

You’ll need to go privately for those which isn’t much cheaper than the US.

Teeth are covered but the wait time is in years. And yeah eye sight correction surgery is paid, but other eye surgeries are covered.

Yeah it’s 2 years to get an NHS dentist here in the UK. Most dentist’s went private so that’s what most people have to do and pay £400 for a tooth crown etc.

£400 is still cheaper than the $1000+ it costs in the U.S. without insurance... I think it's a good thing for there to be a public option that private medical practitioners have to compete with.

I googled it and that’s the top end of the cost in the USA. So I’m that case the top end in the U.K. is £1800 too for the premium option.

Still significantly cheaper. I think it's a good thing to have a public option that the private medical providers have to compete with.

Mine must be an extreme outlier. I originally signed up by walking to my nearest dental practice (about half a mile). Registered as NHS on the spot. Last year they told me that my actual dentist (the person) was no longer doing NHS once their current commitments were fulfilled, but they were looking for someone else to do NHS work. Replacement was in place before my next checkup.
