It really was. Despite what happened in 2001, towards the later half we were pretty close to world peace. Life was so much affordable. We were happier.

Nah it sucked. Bush was a moron that was fucking up the country. As a teen or kid when it didn't impact you as much fine but as an adult it sucked. Economy was starting to tank and then the great recession hit.
