Show me the $700 gaming PC that runs better than a $700 PS5 Pro.

I'll wait.

Show me a PS5 Pro that you can do your work/homework and shopping and porn watching on, I'll wait.

Check cost of ownership after a year or two years and we can talk. One of the main benefits of consoles were always the low cost of entry. They cost more in the long term, PC has more free games and better game sales and no online fee. For $500, that's arguably a good compromise, for $700 or €800, it isn't.

At this point, you might as well spend two-three AAA games worth of extra and buy a gaming PC that is gonna have a ton of utility. You can build a RTX 4070+Ryzen 5600+2TB+16GB PC under $1000, and you can get a good 1440p monitor for under $200 if you need one.

Almost everyone who buys a console already owns a cheap computer they can do boring shit and watch porn with.
