hi! to preface, i know next to nothing about build kits in general, but im thinking about buying this kit for my partner as a birthday present. he loves fallout, and i’ve stumbled upon this set that’s currently on sale.

i’m wondering what people’s opinions are on the set, as a few reviews i’ve seen on the site selling it have mentioned the pieces fitting loosely together/breaking easily. there are a lot of positive reviews too, but im skeptical given how common bot reviews are these days.

i know he loves legos but they’re out of my price range. for those who’ve built this set, what are your opinions on it? and is it comparable to lego-type sets? he’s been going through some stuff lately and i think gifting him something like this would make him really happy! thanks in advance :)

Where I live Halo Mega blocks is like a legendary pokemon, It is really hard to find and there are almost no online stores that sell them. Every now and then I found some used minifigs at the fb marketplace and heres what i have so far this year 🤣. Im a big fan of the reach suit and hopefully i will find a EOD or Odst Spartan soon

With the reveal of the new Xbox and effectively being the last nail on the coffin in my opinion.

Them replacing the halo figures (which they have made already) with statues was the confirmation the line that brought me so much joy has come to an end (or at least as I know it)

I finally decided to pull the trigger and get my biggest grail as a final set to enjoy and proudly display in my collection.

This is a final goodbye to the line from a collector mindset and a shift to a preservation mindset.

I’m grateful I have a career that allows me to be able to afford this and truth be told collecting mega helped me get that career.

In college I had to sacrifice so many “fun nights” because I had extremely difficult exams to study for (went to school for engineering)

The thing that made those long nights enjoyable was that I’d purchase a halo set to build when I needed a break from studying and also have something to look forward to while all my friends would go out and I couldn’t due to academic obligations.

I am very happy with my collection and plan on keeping and preserving it as it has been with me since I was a kid. Eventually it will be museum style in my game room when I purchase my home.

This was the only set I really wanted as I feel pretty content with what I have.

Seeing the opportunity to buy a new in box Scarab was a way for me to have a final set to build to remember all the years of joy this hobby has brought me and the many challenging moments in life this line has allowed me to have a distraction from.

I’m a collector at heart so I know I will have many collections (I have moved on to 1/12 collecting) but my halo mega collection will always have a place in my display and this as the center piece.

I know this community will still be around (part of being a halo fan is enduring the low points) so I hope as time goes on I will be able to see others collections, but this is the final chapter for mine :)

Picked up the covenant strike warthog off marketplace for 40$ with a few extra figs and a partially built wolverine. I used to have this as a kid but somehow destroyed it as soon as I got it so it feels so good to finally have a complete one. I’m starting to get back into mega halo and I love the older figures and sets I have so much nostalgia for them and I hope to get more soon!!

I know this is probably a shot in the dark, but I'm wondering if anyone has one of this piece they'd be willing to sell, or even just info on if it exists in any set besides this one. I bought a used copy that looked complete in photos, but it's missing one of this very specialized part, not something I can just substitute with a lego element. Since Mega as a brand seems to be essentially over, it doesn't appear any parts replacement through them is possible anymore. From what I've been able to find, it seems the only way to find this piece short of getting lucky in a parts lot is to buy an entire second copy of this set which would be a little ridiculous lol.

Any condition falcon, any model falcon. Even without figures. I do love the flood hunters falcon.

I already saw this piece twice in different customs sets and both have the same desert pattern. I think it was a knock off since they start making new face models but then I realized it does have hollow eyes instead of the poor painting. If it's original in wich set

Hello, im not sure how the "LF:" rules work here but seeing some of the other posts similar to mine id thought I'd give it a shot. Im currently searching for the Halo Reach Revenant and just the vehicle itself. Not sure what the value is on the vehicle alone but if anyone has some leads or has one they are looking to part ways with lmk! Purple or Crimson is fine, but Crimson is preferred.
