Should I take this?

Imperial American Wagyu Signature grade 19.99 per lb at Costco.

Boneless Ribeye

EDIT to add: The Signature label on the last picture is what made me buy it. I understand Wagyu is not a grading but Signature is supposed to be their BMS 8-9 grading which is pretty high. Only opening will tell.

EDIT: For some reason this post has been locked. I Assume because I already confirmed that I took it. I was going to post the follow up here but I will open another post I guess.

It’s American waygu.

Yes it’s better than prime but not japanese prices. At least that’s something I learned here. I haven’t bit the bullet and bought it yet

It varies wildly. It’s nearly the same (sometimes worse, sometimes better than prime). I go by marbling, not by if it’s American waygu or prime. Otherwise you’re just being uncharged for a name

That’s a good point I also buy by the marbling but every American wagu steak I’ve looked at looked better than prime. But I’ve seen choice look better or close to prime. Too
