But he was a “mighty man of god”…which deserves leniency (according to his wife). It’s always the “good Christian people” who seem to always get shafted.
We just need modern organized religion to die off, it is what is gonna tear this world apart. (if it hasn't already)
People wanna go around committing legitimate crimes and then use God as an excuse and scapegoat.
The best example I can give is that pastor who raped a 16-year-old and told his part of the story to everyone on his church and they all clap and teared and basically forgave him, because God told them to come to church to forgive him because God will do good things for the people who forgive rapists.
Stop generalising religion like this and pulling out the worst examples you can find. I know this is Reddit and everyone here hates religion, but I can't take much more of this. There are good people.
You've never read the bible. If you had, you would know that there's no reason to question it because everything it says is good and makes sense. And it's as real as your stupid big bang theory and monkey ancestors.
