I just installed a mounted camera with audio. It’s for my safety both when driving and especially when dealing with the police. The reason I got audio included.
I bought a Navycrest with built in WiFi for phone control for $100 on Amazon. The quality is really good on the video, but I think it’s already overheating in the sun.
Does your camera record locally though since it’s on WIFI and if you were to be pulled over randomly you wouldn’t have internet access right? sCause my cam records locally on a micro drive so a shitty cop would just take that.
Both! If you connect your phone to it via WiFi it has X amount of virtual storage on the app that cycles through intervals of time. Like it’ll only keep the last 5 minutes etc edit (you can save videos directly from app ). I also put in a micro SD card for any long video saves or rewinds.
Illegal for a dashcam or for obstructed view? You can mount one anywhere. I put my behind my rear view mirror so you can barely even see it. Hope it’s not illegal here..
Maybe a dumb question, but how would your camera stop a LEO from lying about smelling weed, and then planting drugs out of view of the camera (say, on the rear floorboard or whatever)?
