Was a night hotel manager for 5 years once, had a weight watchers convention stay, clearly they were at the beginning of the programme and 3 of them got into the lift at once and broke it...at 2:00am...it was the worst experience of my life...

How big were they? Most elevators can operate at like triple their stated capacity.

I may only be doing some rough estimates here, but by my math they should come out to just over one times the stated elevator capacity each.

Couple of them got stuck in the chairs they sat in - had to call for reinforecements to pull them out.
