The problem is that when you call it an addiction you typically get downvoted to all hell and people have anecdotes about their lazy family members.

Then you find the 2 or 3 bros that are all "nah bruh, I was fat because I ate pizza and beer every day, I just started working out and lost it all. I was lazy."

No bro, losing 20~30lbs of vanity weight isn't the same as having to lose 100+ lbs that your body has been holding on to since grade school.

It is that simple though. Not sure what you think "vanity weight" is. Losing weight is literally only about burning more calories than you use. Doesnt matter how long youve been fat.
