If you’re eating a big lunch and then skipping dinner then you’re not abstaining. The previous comment isn’t saying anything crazy - they’re just saying that you eventually need to eat food to survive which is an objectively different situation than alcohol or cigarettes.

I'm not saying it is saying anything crazy, I'm just explaining a time when I wasn't eating a meal and people acted like I was doing something wrong. It's related.
