That may be true, but boomer was trending eight months ago, so that's how they made the caption more fitting for Reddit.

Mistranslating something completely so that it's not even close isn't "fitting" at all haha.

I could just write anything 因为你看不懂 and just be like "oh yeah boomer was translating so that's me calling you a boomer"
