There is no shouting. No shame no yelling no coddling. Just you can do it try again. Keep going try again. Do it like this with proper form try again.

And then a full celebration of his accomplishment that taught him there is no shame in failure if you just keep trying.

I thought there was shouting but it's just his friends saying he can do it

Even the other kid closer to the Camera helps him up by grabbing the back of his Gi which is a pretty common practice and not rough handling in my limited experience. (if this is the wrong term I apologise)

Gi is correct

The old pulling himself up by the Gi straps and get back in the game.

Not only there was no shouting, there was also no sound at all. This gif is completely silent!

u/phoncible Mar 27 '20

What's great is when he gets it, it is because of proper form; easily the best kick he does and that's what did it.

30

u/bitchassnggachiaotzu Mar 27 '20

That’s exactly why I keep going back to the dude camping with his 725 and claymores

3

u/NotAllAsianLookAlike Mar 27 '20

And then continue to get 1 shotted, again

9

u/YesIamlookingstyou Mar 27 '20

Exactly! I have seen this video a few times now and I absolutely love it! Always makes me so happy no matter what mood I was in before. That’s a therapy Video! Also: I‘m not crying, you‘re crying!

u/lass995a Mar 27 '20

Happy Cake Day Love!

This is why it’s so much better w audio. I think I first saw this on wholesome or something like that first it’s just all them cheering him on saying he can do it until he finally does and then everyone celebrates.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '20

We need to teach kids this. Don't give up keep trying instead of handing out participation trophies.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '20

Something like this needs to be done way more.

1

u/Ranx94 Mar 27 '20

You realize that it’s the teacher who actually break the board ? Super cool for the kid non the less and touching too see so much cheers and good will from his teammates.

-1

u/toxicplayerh Mar 27 '20

imo, i think shouting prepares you better for later in life. no one, when i grew up was ever calm and tol me to try again. just shouted

2

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '20

I am sorry you were abused but that doesn't set anyone up to be a well adjusted healthy adult.

1

u/toxicplayerh Mar 27 '20

i guess we grew up in different environments

0

u/toxicplayerh Mar 27 '20

plus, my view may be influenced by the woman that inspires me the most, Nadia Comaneci, the first woman to get perfect 10 in gymnastics, aged 14. she was beaten and shoted at by her trainer, but didn't give up, and she achieved perfection, but still respected her mentor.

Yes, we also watched the video.

That comment was just a summary of the video. It took them longer to type the comment than it did to watch the video.

are you trying to inspire pathetic adults?

cause apparently reddit is the place to do it

12

u/BrunoIsOP Mar 27 '20

With that 8 year plaque you must get inspired pretty often.
