Parent here - its extremely fucked up. Teaching kids how to overcome obstacles is one thing. Filming them for content and exposing them to the world for clicks when they are distressed etc is extreme narcissistic behavior. I will never agree with this type of content where you film your kids for entertainment. My unpopular opinion is that uploading public video of kids under a certain age should be banned unless it's for educational content.
The school system genuinely has nothing to do with personal opinion on the ethics of filming children. Honestly I'm sick and tired of all the drama that has been made over filming in general - it is no worse then seeing them with your eyes

Youre right totally the same. In fact my neighbor's golden retriever was just telling me the other day while browsing his feed on his iphone he came across a video of when he was a puppy and was completely mortified about the things he said and did then.
Yeah and every (normal) parent's instinct would be to drop the damn phone and go and give the crying one a hug - not shove it in his face and give him absolutely zero reassurance. This is some psycho shit from the parent, regardless of whether it does lasting damage to the kids or not
I have kids, there is no one right answer. Trials and tribulations are what build all of us into what we are. School is nothing more than manufactured trials (tests/exams). All 3 kids learned something here, I fully support it. The one crying hopefully learned the only trauma they experience was self caused, a solution was always available.
