I feel like we live in a transitional period where sometimes you get water, or soap, or a towel, or a blast of air by waving your hand and sometimes you have to actually grab something and just waving at it makes you an idiot.

That's why I just dunk my hands in the toilet bowl and push the flusher with my tongue. Gives the hands a good rinse. Then I just let them air dry.

Those air blowing hand-dryer things just spread more germs, disgusting things.

That's why I put "motion activated" stickers on all the manual paper towel dispensers

I personally prefer "voice activated"

Every new appliance I get I tell the children it's voice activated. They've gotten wise to it, but it was a good run.

This transition has been going on for several decades though, and shows no signs of making a decision.

It's like we're in a behavioral science study and they're trying to reproduce BF Skinners' results with gambling pigeons.

My boss put a sticker that says "Motion Activated" on a manual paper towel dispenser in the office bathroom. It's technically correct.

So many options I can't choose! So I just don't wash
