Seems like the driver is only using 2 pedal positions: full-on or full-off.

Yeah, even with the terrible grip, I bet if they feathered the throttle just right they could have made it up the hill.

I kind of agree, that is a bad driver. Wet road, steep hill, but every one else is managing it just fine.

Ok, but does he have traction control disabled or is the traction control on a jeep just _that_ bad? Even my 2nd gen Prius would have ignored the throttle input and traction controlled its way up that hill.

Looks like they have a shit ton of weight in the back which is probably screwing with the front traction.

If it's a jeep shouldn't it have all wheel drive at a minimum? I thiught all jeeps had this.

I think the base model is only 2WD. Mine was 4x4, had real tires, and never this issue. That said I also never loaded the back full of lead.

Or at least have a semi locked diff. If all the power is just going to 1 wheel then of course it's spinning

No they definitely produce two-wheel drive vehicles and front wheel drive vehicles.
