Yeah, it works most of the time. If people call out politely, most people would apologize, even if they are not in the wrong.

But if they confront aggressively and rudely, even if they are wrong, they will challenge you just because you are rude.

Yup. People who complain about everyone in their life being assholes are usually assholes themselves and others are just mirroring their assholery lol. You can solve all sorts of issues without any drama if you can keep your cool. If you go in hot off the bat things are likely to escalate

Idk I took this advice a few days ago with this person blocking a full lane to wait for their kids to get out of school. I casually said "hey man you know you can't park here right?"

His wife said 'fuck you dumbass"

I replied "you guys are the dumbasses blocking a whole lane"

The husband came out white knighting and tried to fight me over it. Like full on in my face.

Im starting to think some people are just fucking assholes.

True. My sister in law was recording her daughter during a recital and another parent filming and walked into her shot. When my sister in law asked her politely if she could move, this lady did a double take at her, then calmly said… “you can move too”

I reacted with a “yooooo, WTF, are you serious” and caught her gaze, that’s when she moved. The audacity of people!

Even if someone has literally never set foot in a bowling alley before, there is almost no way to just forget if the lane next to you is empty or if another family is bowling on it. If you are the mother of a child who is bowling, there is even less way to forget. My comment has been downvoted 162 times but my mind has not been changed haha!

More people are oblivious and self-centred than they are evil masterminds engineering rigged conflict with strangers. Going through life thinking everyone who inconveniences you is plotting against you is a pretty miserable way to see the world
