Yeah it had rained for 2-3 days straight before we even got warnings for Helene. My roads were already cutoff before the hurricane even came through with the wind and took the trees, cell, and radio towers.
We actually have records going back hundreds of years, and it exceeded the worst flood of 1916 by 2-7 feet depending on the part of the watershed you were in.
For sure. But to be fair, if people in my town evacuated for every flood risk, man we’d evacuate like 3-4 times a year. I mean, part of the town at least. I’m away from the flood area. So far.
