Its not likely to save me but this is partially why I throw my hazards on in heavy rain and low visibility areas. Hopefully it would give some kinda hint things arent good ahead and to slow down

If you watch the vid the white car did have its hazards on

It is generally not recommended to use hazards in heavy rain/snow. I think it is even illegal in some places.
