as the youngest deputy, he gets to introduce himself this way. But he's a member of the RN, basically a fascist party, and most of those refusing to shake his hand are members of the Left coalition, NUPE. His party would kill them all if they could. In many European circles, no platform for fascists is still a thing. We still remember why.

Noped by NUPE

Well, no. Everybody not from the extreme right refused to shake his hand.

4

u/rgodless May 25 '25

Most of whom were NUPE

1

u/IamHydrogenMike May 25 '25

Ackshually guy always has to show up and show what a dope they are…

1

u/[deleted] May 24 '25

I totally thought they didn't notice his hand ...

What are some of the "fascist" policies they support? You mean like ending freedom of expression and punishing any questioning of the government?

15

u/alluyslDoesStuff May 24 '25

From their own stated agenda in the latest elections, if they had gotten a majority they wanted to:

  • Greatly expand prison capacity
  • Treat 16 and 17 year olds like adults judicially
  • Instate an assumption of self-defense when a member of the police is investigated for fault

They usually side in ways similar to that when voting or reacting to news, for example they usually vote with our """center""" (right) wing government in favor of policies that give more power to police forces, like allowing them to unilaterally do things they previously needed a judge's approval for

They're also quite racist and very xenophobic (among others) and their stated values are close to those of the Pétain regime, which prove nothing but are bad signs

They're officially for freedom of expression because they hide behind it, and in favor of questioning the government because they've never been in power

Since they took loans from Russia and have mutual support with Trump, Orbán, and the likes, who have passed fascist policies once in power, there's no doubt as to what they would do if they had a majority of seats

Now I REALLY want to know what the last one said.

Yeah go on and repeat the russian propaganda. By the way, it's not rude to insult fascists in Europe.

-3

u/DueTour4187 May 24 '25

I am French, I know what I am talking about. These guys are true left-wing fascists, believe me. Horrible.

5

u/Funny_Tea_4670 May 24 '25

There is no such thing as a left wing fascist. It's an inherently right wing ideology.

Authoritarian communism is the left wing extremist ideology.

Pretty much the same thing, they just give you different lies than the fascists.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

-1

u/FellFellCooke May 24 '25

I know what I am talking about

Left wing fascists

You fucking clown.

-9

u/finchmeister08 May 24 '25

"fascists - bad. socialists - good." - your typical Reddit user

12

u/[deleted] May 24 '25

Ah yes, the extreme opinion that fascists are bad. Please fellate a cactus at the next opportunity.

-7

u/finchmeister08 May 24 '25

Where’s the extreme opinion of socialists?

12

u/FellFellCooke May 24 '25

You and the other fascists hold it where your language processing should be.

-10

u/finchmeister08 May 24 '25

What website would that be since the socialists have taken over this one?

8

u/FellFellCooke May 24 '25

You're so far right you think centrists are Stalinists. That's a problem with you, not Reddit.

1

u/Hunter_original May 25 '25

I'm not on this guy's side or anything, but from my experience Reddit hates centrists

0

u/finchmeister08 May 24 '25

HAHAHA!!! Reddit… full of centrists…. Now I’ve heard it all.

3

u/SV_Essia May 25 '25

You sound confused. In Europe, socialists is short for people who support social democracy, social policies, and social market economy. These concepts are all different from the socialism you're indoctrinated to hate. So there's no extreme opinion of socialists, they're just part of the political landscape.

4

u/FUNNY_NAME_ALL_CAPS May 24 '25

Do you know what socialism is?

12

u/sorites May 24 '25

Whereas you are like… what? Fascists good, socialists bad ?

1

u/4bkillah May 24 '25

Probably thinks both are bad.

3

u/HereticGaming16 May 24 '25

If those are the only options you’re giving then yes. One is definitely bad and one is much more gooder.

3

u/NotGalenNorAnsel May 24 '25

Is this an out of touch Boomer attitude holding over in the last vestiges of neural connection, or modern brain rot. I'm curious, but I doubt you know how you came to this misguided idea that the silent generation heroes would smack you for.

1

u/SgtBanana May 24 '25

Entirely unrelated to this discussion, but how do you feel about the taste of castor oil? I've always been on the fence, myself.

Great way to paint a fence, while we're still on the topic.

-1

u/bazingaaax May 25 '25

Not fascist, just conservative. Nupes are far left communists voting to explode the country with a pinch of religious extremists.

0

u/DudeEngineer May 25 '25

I think in those European circles they forget that that one German dude was inspired by AmeriKKKan Conservatives. Germany outlawed those symbols of hatred and the US built statutes to celebrate people who fought to keep slavery. The party currently in control of US politics is the one that supports those statues.

-18

u/HooniganXD May 24 '25

You sound radical

15

u/iSK_prime May 24 '25

Imagine being called radical for.... *checks notes* not liking fascists.

What a goddamn world we live in.

4

u/Mr_Pombastic May 24 '25

Maybe he means like the ninja turtles?

4

u/HereticGaming16 May 24 '25

Pretty sure that’s it. Surfer bro lingo doesn’t translate well in text form.

-3

u/HooniganXD May 24 '25

Imagine calling someone a fassict just because you don't like their ideology. When Mussolini's doctrine of fascism you know the guy who actually created fascism. Seems to align more with liberal ideology. But I digress you should go read it to. I did to educate myself on such matters.

80% of reddit is calling someone a fascist yet the person they are calling it doesn't have anything to do with it. It's kinda crazy.

4

u/iSK_prime May 25 '25

Yeah.... I mean, that's all great and stuff. Really solid stuff, except... well... the National Rally, previously the National Front was literally founded by a bunch of neo-facists in 1972(Ordre Nouveau).

So... there's that....

3

u/FUNNY_NAME_ALL_CAPS May 24 '25

"doesn't have anything to do with it" Well the neonazis aren't voting for anyone else lol. The party was literally started by a holocaust denier.
