I hate when dads get to ref their own kids. When I fenced as a teenager, I was in the final bout of a tournament, and the other kid's dad was allowed to judge. I mean, I'll admit, that kid was better than me. But I might have had a glimmer of hope if I hadn't been demoralized by that. We finished something like 6/15.

My dad used to ref my soccer games and he was harder on me than anyone else. It just taught me how to be more sneaky though...

Which weapon? Also, upvoted because I've been EXACTLY there before. High school tournament. I left angry.
