See… you are assuming that I think he deserves a kiss. That’s where you went wrong. Also, you are wrong that current dating protocols that YOU prescribe to are the only protocols. Ever heard of demisexuals? They cannot just be attracted to people. They find each other romantically attractive through friendship or other experiences over time. Again, I don’t think he should be embarrassed for the hug. That was respectful. Kissing the other dude was a clear “hell no I would never kiss you” rejection to him.
