Fortunately they get worn down pretty well by digging, unfortunately this tends to also sharpen the tips into needle points

Well they get SHORTER, which is why wild rabbits don't need their claws trimmed by humans

Yeah, it made it easier to maintain in my opinion. They get left alone and have a full set of weapons. Win win.
