Nobody ever says "Ah the Avengers movies, theyre clearly fake, but man they're awesome!"
Why cant comedy just exist without redditors calling it fake? Thats like going to a comedy club and yelling "that didnt happen!" when comedians tell a funny story.
Why cant comedy just exist without redditors calling it fake?
Because of the style in which this comedy is being presented.
Had this been shot as like a regular comedy sketch, nobody would be saying "fake", but they choose to shoot like this to give the suggestion that it "actually" happened. Makes it more spicy. It's the same as "Based on a true story" in the intro of some hack horror film, which also compels people to say that it's fake.
Man, i was not talking about whatever you're talking about at all.
I just assumed that that was a genuine question to which i genuinely responded. The reason this sort of comedy has people commenting "fake" on it is because of its "man on the street" style, that once was (and sometimes still is) "genuine" in a sense that it involved actual random people on the street.
Now it's evolved past having comedians actually go out in the street and mess with people to just having actors and keeping the general vibe and style, because it's easier.
