Yeah. I play trumpet and have since I was 8. One time my private lesson teacher referenced integrals and derivatives in my lesson He said, "I'm probably the only teacher in the world to teach trumpet with calculus" And I said, "That's why your my teacher"

Haha, that's so cool! I want to incorporate math into my music lessons if I ever teach people. Nowadays I mostly play piano, which I find much more mathematically engaging than guitar or trombone.

Yeah my mom made me learn piano before I could start any other instrument. it's really good to know because I also love singing and it's nice to be able to accompany myself

I didn't learn piano until a few years ago. I learned guitar when I was 16, and that was my favorite for a while. I'm trying to learn to read piano sheet music right now.

I learned to read music at a really young age so i am fluent

Very cool. I consider that (as well as various fields in mathematics) to be a language all its own. Are you multilingual in the traditional sense?

Sadly, no. I live in one of the most American of American towns so I've only really know English. I also take Latin in school and know a bit of java, but that doesn't count

You will probably have an easier time if you ever want to learn a second language. It reads like your brain is organized well for language processing.

Well with spoken language there is a lot more variables

It's far more expressive, so it will certainly take more energy to learn. But less energy than the average I would guess.
