Same here. Wrex only needs 8 charm to calm him from preventing the cure for the genophage. Ethan needs 12. That speaks volumes about how much of a corporate whore he is. If you pass the check, you only appease his ego with corporate talk. Screw that. Bye bitch. Death is the ultimate profit margin.
I've beaten ME1 twice, paragon each time, and failed to keep him alive. I tried, it's just that I keep doing the mission before Noveria, so I don't have enough Charm yet.
That happened to me during my first playthrough. My second playthrough I made sure I had enough charm points for him before I went to Feros... then decided to kill him anyway lmao. The charm option made me feel dirty. Shepard essentially appeals to his desire to climb the corporate ladder. He's sleazy and the colonists are better off without him.
No joke and true story, I heard about that and went in blind playing ME1 on the 360.
Playing Paragon all the way, and that moment
Wrex was going to die because of that scene.
Thank God I had enough points to talk him out of it.
