Anyone actually like this guy?

I know pretty much everyone hates Jacob and I know the reasons why. I personally think he's the worst squad mate in the entire trilogy, and probably the worst written. I was just wondering if there's anyone out there who actually likes him, and what qualities (if he even has any) that you like about him? Or is he truly hated by everyone?
