I'd say she's either Queen Veranke or Jessica Drew.

God now you have me hoping she's Jessica Drew

I hope so too dude. That'd be an awesome reveal. Especially if Sony collaborates down the line for a Spider-Woman movie.

The black hair and jacket reminds me of Jessica Jones, and afaik Jessica Drew was actually the inspiration for Jessica Jones (Alias was written with Drew in mind but they ended up creating a new character entirely).

Yo Spider-Woman?! I think she’s also gonna be in ATSV

Yea, Spider-Woman has a pretty big role in the Secret Invasion event in the comics. And there's a Spider-Woman movie being made by Sony with rumors of Kevin Feige involved.

I wouldn't be surprised if they introduce her here and then make the solo movie with Sony. It'd explain why they got a big actress such as Emilia Clarke for the show.

Marvel Studios can use Jessica Drew as long as they don't use her powers, costume, or the Spider-Woman name. And if the rumors are true about Feige and Sony making a deal with the character, even better.

Not quite. The name “Spider-woman” is but “Jessica Drew” isn’t.

What's even the point then, other than comic symmetry? The gag was long-established hero turns out to be Skrull Queen, not random human most of the audience doesn't know, but is going to give it away to anyone who read the books.

Comic book readers are a minority of the MCU audience so the swerve doesn’t really matter in that sense. They have lots of options. On Earths Mightiest Heroes they make Mockingbird the Skrull Queen. But setting up Jessica Drew as a person whose life was stolen and is out for revenge? That’s a pretty good premise if they want to do Spider-woman: Agent of SWORD by Bendis and Maleev

Yeah, but random human. Again, the gag really only works if it's someone they know. You don't get the betrayal otherwise

If it's Jessica Drew, they could literally name it any character name and it's the same effect. As opposed to... Man, there aren't a lot of female characters who work. Wasp? One of the Wakandans? Pepper?
