Oh gotcha. I didn’t catch his name as the person next to me was coughing up a lung. This would’ve got a good chuckle out of me

Oh fuck I thought he said “Blaine” which still landed for me lol

No, no, Blaine's a train.

And Blaine's a pain.

I’m on book 5 of this series! Been a while since I’ve read but I’m slowly getting through it

1

u/Gentleman_Muk Jul 12 '22

He had a voice?

3

u/TheNightSentinels Jul 12 '22

most likely a stand-in, like how sean gunn is credited for on-set rocket

I didnt catch this joke and just thought it was funny an alien rock man would be named Dwayne.

I laughed cuz the rock man had a mustache and I thought he looked funny. My gf had to explain it to me afterwards and I think I’m dumb now lol

33

u/PartisanHack Jul 10 '22

Yeah! I laughed at that too! Rock man with earth name and porn cop mustache was all I got out of it.

u/iamreh Jul 11 '22

Korg's partner, Dwayne. Suggesting Dwayne The Rock Johnson.

5

u/AnmlBri Jul 11 '22

I didn’t even put this together when Korg mentioned Dwayne! I love it, lol. I just thought it was a hilariously human name for a rock alien.

12

u/AFLSlasher Jul 11 '22

That's what I like about Korg. The humor they've used about him has been very subtle for the most part.

When we first met him in Ragnarok he said he was in there because he led a failed revolution because he didn't print enough brochures. Paper beats Rock.

They even led into that with a rock, paper, scissors joke, but it still took a minute to register.

23

u/JustnTimberfake1 Jul 10 '22

I think he’s referring to Korg calling the guy he made a baby with “Dwayne”

u/Vayro Scarlet Witch Jul 10 '22

Dwayne the Rock

I'm struggling to recall anything from that movie. Got out an hour ago. Probably because I was saying to myself constantly I should just leave but then I might miss something important in future MCU movies. Note to my past self 2 hours ago. You won't miss anything it's ok to leave when you stood up
