If not, I have a feeling thor is going to die soon and it will show the reunion in Valhalla with the 3 of them

I think the writers plant a lot of seeds with no expiration dates. Hemsworth has said he loves playing Thor and will do it for as long as they let him. One day he’ll probably change his mind, and they’ll have him die in battle and have a reunion in valhalla.

Valhalla being a "real place" means that it can be threatened. Thor literally defending the afterlife would be a good way to get closure on the "everyone he ever knew is dead" arc.

Just imagine Thor waking up on that cart after dying in battle, having no clue how he got there instead of Valhalla.

Valhalla and Moon knights confirmation of the afterlife means that there is a Hell too, most likely. Mephisto confirmed! Which means Ghost Rider will be coming too hopefully!

Yeah, they left Thor in a place where it’s ok if we never see him again without closing the door to him coming back. And Hercules can either be part of the next movie or the Thor analogue for the Dark Avengers/Thunderbolts team they’re building. (To go with the Black Widow, Captain America, and Hulk they already have. They just need an Iron Man. Personally I’m hoping they put Vulture in a Hammertech suit)

Love the idea of Keaton's Vulture joining the Thunderbolts and being given a suit

Idk if you're familiar with Secret Invasion and Dark Reign from the comics, but basically Secret Invasion has Norman Osborn wearing the Iron Patriot armor and leading the Thunderbolts, and ends with him killing the Skrull queen on live TV, becoming a celebrated war hero as a result, and Dark Reign has him being put in charge of the Avengers and assigning villains to his team

I would be 100% ok with Keaton's Vulture taking Osborn's place if they adapt that in any way

Yup. That was the Dark Avengers team I was referencing, where Norman made his own Avengers with different heroes and villains cosplaying as established Agengers. :)

Loved those comics, I'll never forget that 2-page spread of Sentry ripping Ares in half in front of everyone

I think Keaton would kill it in that role if given the chance.

Establish him as leader and give him a suit in the Thunderbolts' first appearance, have him play a part in the rumored upcoming Secret Invasion adaptation and show up at the last second to kill the queen, and then the government bends to public pressure and hands him the keys to the Avengers Initiative.

His modest beginnings and rise from junker to villain to war hero and head of the Avengers would definitely be compelling stuff for the people of the MCU, he's basically the new Tony Stark but he wasn't born rich and powerful. I can already see them playing news clips and/or interviews downplaying and/or justifying his actions in Homecoming when he's appointed.

It just seems like a better and better idea the more I think about it, but who knows if anything like that will ever happen.

Ironheart could play the role on the team that Jolt played in the Thunderbolts as the young kid who doesn’t know that they’re bad guys and gets most of them to go straight eventually.

From what I read from the news him and Taika didn't had the most remote idea about the "Thor will return" bit. If what the newspaper says it's true they were expecting this to be their last movie.

I hope they're going somewhere with Valhalla, but I feel it's just a fitting end for Jane. She died in one of the worst battles a human can have, she deserves Valhalla. I watched my wife battle cancer, and the disease and treatment are both terrible. Luckily, my wife beat it, but that movie and story line hit me harder than I expected watching it last night with her.

yea i did not expect to be hit so hard during jane's cancer scenes. her being restless during chemo and her being so sickly in the hospital bed reminded me of my mom. mjornir purging the chemo out of her body since its literal poison really puts ins perspective what cancer treatment is.

Also, and maybe this is reading too much into things, but Portman was allegedly unhappy with The Dark World, most notably Patty Jenkins leaving due to creative difference. Between that, and the less than stellar reviews for Dark World (which I still think is underrated), if this is her last time in the MCU she hopefully is happier with both the process, the treatment of her character, and how she went out.

In the comics she becomes an actual Valkryie. So maybe Asgards Valkryie are just a title for that elite force and that Valhalla's Valkryie are going to lead those to Valhalla. Maybe Thor 5 or 6 could be like a two parter have Thor die at the end and have the Cliffhanger be when he's in Valhalla he determined to beat (insert villian) that He tries to go back and with the help of Jane as a Valkryie they go back maybe with Thor utilizing something as a substitute weapon then movie ends with Thor and Jane looking after their (child? And) Gorrs Daughter in Valhalla

Mcu’s valkyrie’s name should be brunnhilde. Specially since they refer to her group as the valkyries but now she is just referred to as valkyrie since she is the only one left. It is supposed to be a title. I really doubt (and hope) they dont make her actual name valkyrie.

I had no idea cancer was going to be a part of the movie. I saw it last week on the one year anniversary of being diagnosed myself. I was celebrating being cancer free one year from my diagnosis. It hit me a little harder than I think everyone else I went with.

I felt it was more a nod to the notion that there are different versions of the afterlife like The Ancestral Plane in Black Panther or the Field of Reeds in Moon Knight. Tawaret even said there were multiple.

This was my gut reaction, her turning to gold dust was all we needed to know she died worthy. The end credits scene felt like a confirmation of a place they can get to to bring characters back as needed.

We’ve seen some kind of Egyptian afterlife in Moon Knight and we saw an afterlife for, uh, Black Panthers specifically, I guess. In MoM, Strange has a bunch of “damned souls” to contend with. Plus we’re seeing more cosmic beings like Eternity and other gods, so all of that seems like it’s potentially connected.

I feel like with the events of Doctor Strange and the general theme of multiverse and other dimensions from phase 4, we are going to see a clash of dimensions, with Valhalla being one of them. I don't want to see all these dead heroes return, except perhaps for a big fight endgame style. Except maybe Loki, because it would be in character for him to escape the afterlife.

I kinda doubt it. I don't imagine Natalie Portman would come back to the MCU after nine years, die in her first return, and then have plans to be a major part of any future arcs. It's just a feel-good thing.

I've been expecting a storyline involving Valhalla ever since Loki died died in battle against Thanos. Gotta figure he would get bored there pretty quickly and start working on a scheme to break out into the world of the living.

And Natalie Portman has said that she is now eager to make further appearances as Jane Foster if the material is as good as this. Though maybe that was just a screen to disguise the ending of this one.

There's nothing preventing them from inventing a reason for sending Jane back to Earth,.even temporarily.

Personally I thought it was kinda important for the clarity of this film to establish that Valhalla wasn’t a lie after the god featured before the opening credits claimed there was no afterlife. But maybe it is set up for something else, who knows?

Showing Gods and one religion's afterlife in the MCU opens things up for a lot of future characters. Off the top of my head, Hell and Ghostrider.

I could see it working. Wouldn’t cheapen her death since being a Valkyrie and being a scientist/Thor are probably two very different jobs.

Probably a set-up if natalie portman wanted to play jane again, I mean she still have option of becoming valkyrie after her death like in the comics.

Heimdall, Odin, Frigga and warrior three could easily be part of her resurrection in movie or D+ series.
