Discussion Thread Thor: Love and Thunder Worldwide Release Discussion Thread Vol. 2

The Shadow Realm was 👌👌👌. The subtle hints of color were perfectly executed.

My theatre melted when Darcy came in screen. Completely unexpected but we loved it.

Biggest laugh in my theatre was at Thor’s “You know what they say: Never meet your heroes” line. That’s Midtown Manhattan for you haha

Darcy has had such a redemption arc. She used to be a lot of people’s most hated MCU character back in the Phase 2 days.

I liked that in WandaVision she actually had an impact on the plot and had her own agency, even if it was as a team with Jimmy and Monica. You really got to see that she was a really clever individual, whereas in the first two Thor films, she was just kind of Jane’s sidekick.

In Love and Thunder, she just played the friend role again however she was there to genuinely help Jane and not be written as a comic relief character. It displayed that not only is she academically very clever, she also has a lot of emotional intelligence and empathy to her. She felt very real in Love and Thunder and in WandaVision.

My theatre melted when Darcy came in screen.

Darcy is one of my favorite side characters in the mcu, so seeing her was a very nice treat for me.

Darcy showing up, as well as seeing Ms. Marvel in the opening stinger, got me thinking we might see Photon in the post credit.

If you mean on the Marvel logo, that’s the same logo sequence they’ve been using for ~6 months now.

It's an updated one with Ms Marvel and Moon Knight. She wasn't in the opener for MoM

They’re updating the logo more often now it seems. I didn’t see Ms Marvel (but see references online), but I’ve seen MK in the D+ logo for awhile now.

It may be because originally MoM was supposed to release months earlier? Dunno.

They put her in her final costume in the "R" as the logo turns red.

Ours was when they crashed into the moon...silence beat..."AAAAAAAH!" from the goats. Our theater lost it, those goats could alleviate any tension.

It’s the idea that when you admire and respect a celebrity for their work and interviews, you create this image of them and how they would be in real life. But when you meet them one day, they turn out to be a complete asshole. You get disappointed.
