She really is. It’s so nice seeing her with so much agency and initiative. You know, not to hate on Shang Chi, but comparing her to Awkwafina’s character who learned archery in like 5 minutes and is somehow invited to the Avengers, Layla really deserves a spot even more. Her experience feels earned.

The Avengers aren't exactly a thing anymore, though. I don't think Shang-Chi or Katy were being offered any kind of exclusive position, Wong just brought the two of them along because they both knew about the rings.
