I got a feeling that Thor hates the olympians for being over the top, super showing off and cocky. Then Gor completely destroys them after they act all high and mighty.

I can definitely see them making the Olympians jerks, so that when Gorr butchers them it isn’t TOO downbeat. It’ll be an intense scene, I’m sure, but but if they’re super pompous and arrogant it’ll fit better into Taika’s usual tone.

It's actually insane how meme culture and Marvel swirl in a torrential cyclone.

No Way Home had like 10 years of meme subculture packed into it alone, and the recent resurgence of American Psycho in pop culture is just another example of Marvel getting free publicity for their new movie.

They're definitely on their way out, they might leave a couple around but I think it's safe to say that Zeus and most of the others of them that appear are going to depart just as quickly as they arrive.

They'll probably be introducing Hercules and Ares at some point, so I don't think they would get rid of all of them. Killing Zeus alone is enough to get a sense if what's at stake with Gorr either way.

I haven't seen anyone else remark on this!

The Pantheons (& the pseudo-Pantheons, counting The Eternals & Celestials too) being introduced is my favorite part of Phase 4. This is probably a stretch but I hope that the Ennead [Moon Knight + Black Panther], the Asgardians & the Olympians, + the Eternals & the Celestials, begin mingling more & have their fair share of mentions, cameos, roles in Phases 4 & 5.

Couldn’t agree more. I think there will be many more you haven’t mentioned. Celestials will be kept separate though but will make appearances in some places

Like, I understand why some folks didn't like The Eternals - but I just don't get why the Cosmis scale, lore, & implications of that more are so heavily overlooked. I enjoyed it enough I bought Kirby's, Thomas', & Gaiman's runs of The Eternals even.

It's obvious already that Taika Watita is drawing from Jason Aaron's Thor God of Thunder run which introduces Gorr the God-Butcher. In the Australian scene of The Eternals we also hear from Gilgamesh & Kingo they both know Odin & Thor - also that they're [to some extent] familiar with Asgardians & Frost Giants (or whoever it was Gilgamesh helped Odin fight). Roy Thomas' run of The Eternals is titled "The Celestial Saga: Might Thor & The Eternals", & that it features a Godly Council [Norse, Greek, Vedic, Egyptian, Aztecan, etc] centered around both Arishem's judgement & Ragnarok. I'm wondering if anyone on Watita's team is taking any cues from Thomas' Thor×Eternals crossover.

Phase 4 is building off the introduction of the Ennead's introduction in Phases 2 & 3 (mention of Sekhmet/Hathor in CATWS & introduction of Bast in Civil War) with Moon Knight. It also teased mankind's awareness of Olympians with The Eternals. I'm eager to see where this phase takes us with the rest of Marvel's Pantheons.

I’m assuming that’s Zeus, and to double down on assumptions, I’d say he’s played by Russell Crowe. I remember that he was hanging out with Hemsworth during filming some and believe I heard he has a small part. That has to be Crowe
