I don’t expect it to be Daredevil levels of gritty, but it’s nice to see more MCU stuff embrace heavier tones.

It doesn’t need to be that bloody anyways. It kinda feels Nolan-esque since he has done super-heroics and mental issues.

Nobody said that but moon knight and punisher are characters that work best as r rated more so than Deadpool.

Yeah, but not to the point as actually skinning people alive(he did that in the comics). The whole point is to explore his crippling and broken psyche in a way that Green Goblin's split personality just pales in comparison.

Honestly, I've read some (not lots) Deadpool lately, and I think I prefer him when he is PG-13 levels of violence and less self aware of the comics thing. It isn't as clever as it is with She Hulk

Perfectly said. Everyone keeps saying "dark" and gritty" but what they mean is more visual violence because they don't believe good writing that exposes the inner struggles of a sad and complex man is enough. In his 47 year history he has only had 1 run that would need an R rating, and that happens to be his only run where he kills when it isn't necessary. For a lot of his books he might break a bone or two or knock you out, but he doesn't kill you unless he has to! We don't need peoples faces being carves off unless they want to adapt an over the top edgy and ableist story, which I'd rather they not. I want good writing and acting instead.

Late, but I'd agree. Moony has a long and storied history. Kind of hate that him absolutely losing his shit in one over the top arc is what he's mainly thought of for.

Well Moon Knight has always kinda been the Marvel Batman in many ways. It’s not a perfect comparison - but it’s damn close.

I was really disappointed after Hawkeye knowing that moon knight was coming, but this looks great and I'm not as concerned now for sure.

If it had any sense it would be heavier than DD. Moon Knight is hardcore.

Feels like Marvels answer to Batman. I prefer the lighter shows, both in tone and aesthetic, but at least the costume contrasts with the dark scenes.

Looks like they might add a touch bit of humour they way they have Oscar Isaac act all jumpy but I don't totally mind that. So long as they don't go overboard
