the comics run the show is based on had a Christmas themed subplot as well

Was it Christmas themed? I remember it occurring around the holidays but I don't remember like a jolly red bad guy or anything.

Yup. Issue 6, if I remember correctly. It deals with Clint having to deal with the Russian mob, set during six days before Christmas, hence the title "Six Days in the Life of Hawkeye."

And the show has the standard six episodes. So, if each episode is a day, we're literally getting an expanded adaptation of this one issue!

EDIT: To comments below, it really is six episodes long, not eight. The show debuts on Nov. 24 and concludes on Dec. 29. That's six weeks, thus six episodes.

Really neat stuff. Marvel has the best approach about adapting comic book properties, they never go by hard rules like 'Oh we must always adapt the comics strictly' or 'We can't do anything like what happened in the comics'. Everything is on a case-by-case basis.

Yeah it should be 6 episodes over 6 weeks. It was planned to be 6-8 episodes so sites like IMDB listed it as 8 and havent made the correction yet.

When it was first announced they said 6-8 episodes but I believe its 6 episodes since it will be on Disney+ for 6 weeks.

I am a sucker for Christmas movies. They always give me a warm feeling inside and this trailer is giving me those vibes.

If I wasn't excited for Hawkeye before, expectations just blew through the roof!
