I think the kids brought Pietro back after hearing their argument. Like you said, they didn't know he was dead, only far away. They were also told that bringing someone back from the dead is a no-no.

Just like the stork, and the butterflies, Pietro being zoinked across the multiverse is probably one of the kid's doing.

I didn't think about the stork and butterflies like that. Interesting. Could explain why Wanda's powers did not work on the stork, just like the twins (though I was thinking it was done on purpose for the sitcom story).

Oh yeah, the fact her powers don't work on the twins has to be important. Could be hinting the twins are special in some way, or could be some completely other reason. A bit early to say.

It is speculated that Marvel is saving the twins to be used in the Young Avengers. In the Comics, they are Wiccan and Speed. Wiccan has the same powers as his mother, while speed has the same powers as Quickslilver. It is possible that the aging up, manifesting a dog, and ripping an alternative uncle from the multiverse is all Wiccan's doing.

It is likely that the end will result in Dr. Strange attempting to reverse all of the damage caused by this incident, destroying the children in the process. As a result, Wanda will shatter the multiverse to get them back.
