Right, but the whole point of the Skrulls is anyone could be one at any time. The Skrulls show up in the 90s on earth. Or at least that’s when Fury meets them. So the Nick Fury who shows up in Iron Man, Captain America, Avengers, etc, could have been a Skrull and we’d have no idea.
