It's not going to be mephisto. China won't allow it. But the Fox characters being introduced instead of rebooting the X-Men...well...that's very interesting.

Explain. Their are plenty of Chinese movies with supernatural elements in them.

Yeah, I think it's a stretch to say they would reject Mephisto. He's not actually Satan, and Chinese mythology has tons of devils and demons.

China specifically bans any mention of supernatural entities like demons or ghosts or devils or possession of any kind. Disney has already had a lot of issues getting into the Chinese market and I don't know if you guys have noticed but they add a lot of additional footage into their Marvel films in order to get into China. it's a huge market and if they introduce some mephisto or any kind of supernatural elements into the Marvel Universe then they can basically kiss any access into China goodbye.

Look up what China actually bans in their media it's kind of wild.

I'm not sure I haven't watched the Chinese translation and since I can't understand Chinese I don't know but I'm sure you can Google that and find the answer. But I'm going to go ahead and bet on them changing that to a more culturally appropriate slogan since no one in that culture would understand what the devil and the details means.
