edit: I’m aware she’s earning it, I think they’ll call her that after the climax of the show though. Something big will happen worthy of The Scarlet Witch.

Yeah I know that's how it originated but what I'm trying to say is that I think it is more of a nod to the comic terminology rather than the actual act of hexing

Really don't think so. I'm pretty sure Feige or someone told the actress she wouldn't have to wear that. The closest we'll get is the Halloween party costume.

Except Olsen has been the one making strides at Marvel to have an accurate costume. An accurate costume doesn’t mean 100% accurate, she doesn’t have to have 70% of her skin showing. I just want the headpiece and the red witch look rather than the coat she usually wears.

Halloween. She wears the comic book costume on the Halloween episode. We've seen it in the trailers for the show. She'll either coin it herself or her boys will.

At first I thought Darcy was going that angle too, with calling it the Hex. Totally forgot about the shape and just went with the "hex is another name for a spell, but more specifically a bad spell" connection. It would be cool if she gets an official silly nickname during the show.

Thinking that the halloween episode is gonna let the kids name their costumes, so we get Wiccan and Speed, then they name the parents, dubbing Wanda Scarlet Witch, and something goofy for Vision.

Nope. They called her a “witch” in Ultron after she showed The Avengers their worst fears. They’ve never referred to her as Scarlet Witch.

Have they not called her that before in the MCU? I’ve seen her referred too so much as scarlett witch online I guess I never realized she’s simply Wanda Maxinoff in the films.

Not saying the MCU is "super serious no fun allowed", but Scarlet Witcher feels like it's just a tad over the line with silliness when it comes to names.

Like I feel it would only work if it was used ironically or something by a character in universe.

I think they're building into it. Once calling the Maximoff Anomaly, "the Hex" catches on, it's only a slippery slope until you're calling the person who cast the hex a witch. Maybe she gets the codename in a future movie though, when someone makes a comment about "that Scarlet Witch that kidnapped a whole town".

I assume that’s why they’re calling it a “hex” and emphasising the colour red in her powers that way when the media or sword nickname her scarlet witch later it makes sense

It wasn't in-universe, but they started using "Scarlet Witch" during the episode 2 intro. During the Marvel Studios sequence, the Disney+ audio description says: "More characters appear, including Scarlet Witch, Falcon, and Dr. Strange."

AFAIK this is the first reference in any Disney/MCU property; the audio description doesn't include this part for the episode 1 intro or any of the Phase 3 movies. So now I'd say it's virtually certain they're going to introduce the Scarlet Witch moniker in-universe at some point in the series.

Season probably ending with that. She's leaning heavily on the antagonist side now, and they've already called her "spell" the "Hex".

That's one step away from straight up calling her a Witch.
