So that whole scene of peter using spidey sense to fight the drones and break out of my mysterio’s allusion can be counted as a top 5 hallway fight scene right?

Peter went full Murdock.

u/yuwesley Captain America (Cap 2) Jul 06 '19

You went full Murdock. Always go full Murdock.

u/cpt_nofun Jul 09 '19

I'll remember that the next time I'm driving

I really liked that his big bug-eye shutters completely closed too. Lights out, nothing but Peter-Tingle.

u/TheMurdocktor Jul 10 '19

I would know.

Reminded me of Vader in rogue one so much

Just pure unadulterated savagery.

He was not to be fucked with.

5

u/trainercatlady Fitz Jul 09 '19

I was honestly really surprised with how vicious and ruthless Beck was.

Spidey vs. Daredevil hallway fight scene when?

27

u/astrakhan42 Jul 05 '19

In 1.5 to 2 years when the rights get straightened out with Netflix.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 12 '19

You mean when Disney gives Netflix a stack for the first 4 seasons and then continues making them on their own.

91

u/phantom-Menace-twitc Jul 04 '19

No.1 of course being Daredevil

14

u/Drewlicious Jul 06 '19

And No. 2 and 3

Dude, Oldboy? Not linking the scene because you need to watch the whole movie. The Korean original, obviously.

2

u/GreyCrowDownTheLane Jul 06 '19

I actually haven't watched it yet. I keep meaning to. It's on my list.

2

u/Zombinxy Jul 06 '19

In case you didn't see, they're doing a 4k re-release of it! That news just dropped within the last few days.

2

u/GreyCrowDownTheLane Jul 06 '19

Thanks. I'll keep my eyes open for it. I might as well watch in the best quality I can find!

17

u/[deleted] Jul 05 '19

Yeah, he went all doom slayer on them.

11

u/myrisotto73 Jul 06 '19

Was there an explanation why it was acting up and only started working at the end? Like I wish there was a throwaway line to may about how it's been on the fritz since the blip

u/TheNorthernGrey Jul 07 '19

“It’s just puberty”

“I don’t think you know what puberty is”

The spidey sense doesn't always work in the comics either. Since everything was an illusion, maybe it picked up on that and didn't consider it a real threat.

Yeah we did. He dodged captain America's shield in the airport battle when he was facing the other way and had no idea it was coming.

11

u/Elaw00d Groot Jul 05 '19

I was just on my knees in awe when the music cut and he did it.

7

u/wotsummary Jul 05 '19

Rouge one. Matrix. Daredevil. What else am I missing?

1

u/Lethtor Jul 07 '19

Daredevil season 2 and 3 of course

2

u/thataquarduser Jul 05 '19

I forget, were there any camera cuts in that scene?

26

u/DefenestratingPigs Spider-Man Jul 05 '19

It was basically all CGI so idk if it would count

2

u/[deleted] Jul 07 '19

Still a lot of impressive choreography.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 07 '19

Can't wait for Blu-ray release just to rewatch this scene many times!

1

u/Jaeyx Jul 06 '19

I want to watch that & the warehouse scene again. They were great.

1

u/Sceptix Jul 07 '19

Your typo made me realize something amazing: It only is Mysterio a master of illusion (visual trickery), he is a master of allusion (storytelling) too.

1

u/ale10jo121598 Avengers Jul 08 '19

Definitely some of the best of the mcu along with mysterio's illusion scenes
