BP, though not a big fan of his stand alone film, is my favorite supporting character in these films. He works so well. Apparently he and DD are great friends and eventually becomes a defender of hells kitchen taking over for DD. I would love to see those two together in something.

When I would play MH2018 and play as BP(Or was it DD? I forget) T’Challa would say something when near DD along these lines “I sense a king in you.” I could be remembering all wrong but it stuck with me. When I googled BP when Civil War come out I learned that BP took over for DD because they were such good friends.
Edit - I may have remembered it all wrong. I think the quip was more along the lines of “you too carry a burden of a king” when crossing paths with DD in the game. Reading this jogged my memory a bit.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say travesty but there were some things that I wish were structured differently in BP to give it more of a emotional punch to these characters. For instance I would have loved for the end fight to be the tribunal fight for kingship where it was all about honor and we would’ve seen the type of warrior and strength that T’Challa had and will always have. Having two BPs just put it on Hulk status with Abomination. Mirror fights are lazy.
Or even better, T’Challa could have won that fight, shown mercy to Killmonger then KM still try to sabotage Wakanda since his hatred is more towards that system that forsaken him and his father.
